If you’re looking for a fun place to host your child’s birthday party, look no further than the YMCA of Fredericton!  We have fun covered!

Birthday Party Information

  • 1 hour exclusive use of play structure
  • 1 hour reserved spots in our regularly schedule family swim

  • $250 for up to 10 participants (adults & children). $12 per extra participant to a maximum of 18.

Location and General Time

Birthday parties will be held at our 570 York Street Location. Birthday parties are generally available to be booked on Saturdays & Sundays. To get an idea of the timetable for our birthday parties, please see the following Pdfs.

Birthday Party FAQs

Birthday Party bookings can be made online or by the staff at the Welcome Desk. Call (506)462 – 3000 ext. 0. Payment is due upon booking

If the Birthday Party is cancelled less than a week prior – no refund.  All other cancellations are 80% refund

No refund will be issued for no-shows relating to the additional guests fee.

A birthday party at the YMCA costs $250 for 10 guests and $12 for each additional guest up to a maximum of 18 guests.

The children do need to be accompanied by adults in accordance with our Supervision and Child Protection Policy.

The YMCA of Fredericton requires an accurate number of Party Participants (children & adults) to determine required lifeguard ratios for the swimming portion of the birthday party.

Please see our Pool Admission Standards for more information for swimmers ages 11 & under. 

A general guideline is as follows:

  • Children aged 0 -5 years require 1 adult in the pool to supervise 2 children
  • Children aged 6 – 9 years require 1 adult in the pool to supervise up to 4 children
  • Children aged 10 – 11 years require 1 adult in the pool or on deck to supervise a maximum of 8 children.

Lifeguards reserve the right to refuse entry to the YMCA Aquatics facilities if the total number of Party Participants exceeds the number provided in the booking agreement and subsequently exceeds YMCA Lifeguard to Swimmer ratios.

Please ensure that when you invite guests to the birthday party, adults are aware that they should be prepared to enter the pool as well.

No refund will be issued for no-shows relating to the additional guests.

Your party room will be available to you 15 minutes prior to the designated start time of your party.

Unfortunately, the party rooms are not equipped with refrigerators.

The YMCA does not permit outside equipment in our Play Structure or in the Pool, aside from certified life jackets. (Note: The YMCA provides lifejackets and swim belts for inexperienced swimmers.)

Unfortunately, parties must adhere to the pre-determined party structure.

The play structure is available to all children and youth. If you want to make sure that the play structure is suitable for your child and their guests, you are welcome to visit a membership specialist at the Welcome Desk and they will let you have a look at the play structure prior to booking.

Parties can be booked up to 90 days in advance.
