The Wilson family has a long history of community involvement that has helped make Fredericton a better place. In August of 2019 Fredericton YMCA member, donor, volunteer and friend, David J. Wilson, passed away. The David & Elizabeth Wilson Family Foundation has donated $75,000 to the Fredericton YMCA Endowment Fund. Their legacy gift supports the work of the YMCA, an organization that was such an important part of David’s life.
“My father was always a keen YMCA fitness participant as well as a YMCA community supporter. It is fitting that his support continue through this endowment; a legacy to support the work of an organization that was significantly important to my dad throughout his life and towards the health and well-being of the community.” Jodie Wilson
The YMCA of Fredericton has provided children, youth, adults and seniors with a wide range of valuable services since 1858. Whether it is participating in a literacy program, learning new skills at camp or taking a fitness class, individuals of all ages and backgrounds are empowered to reach their full potential. With the support of our donors, we are able to meet the growing needs of our community and keep our programs and services accessible for all. Thank you to the David & Elizabeth Wilson Family Foundation for their generous gift and commitment to the well-being of the Fredericton community.
