Family Friend Program

The Family Friend program provides support to single parents living in the Fredericton area who face barriers to social, health or financial security. The goal of the program is to provide a support network and facility access to single parents and their dependents experiencing isolation from community.

Meetings take place every SECOND and FOURTH Wednesday of the month, from September to June. Sessions begins at 6:00pm and conclude at 7:30pm. Aside from a variety of programming, each session also includes a home cooked meal.
Registered members will be assigned either the second Wednesday of each month, or the fourth, to regularly attend. If you are assigned a week that does not work for your schedule, please contact the program coordinator to make a switch: brian.conoley@ymcafredericton.org
Registered Family Friend participants get access to YMCA memberships for themselves and their dependents, including one registered program, each program term (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) with no registration cost, additional program costs may apply depending on the program. Members can be registered for as many additional programs as they like, subject to all regular program costs.
