YMCA Career Centre

The YMCA Career Centre is a job search and resource centre that is available to anyone who needs support in their employment journey.

Located at 300 St. Mary’s St, on the third floor, the centre has a variety of free tools to aid in your job search.

Services for use in the centre include:

  • computers
  • local phone
  • scanner
  • printer
  • photocopier
  • fax machine

Browse the library where you will find:

  • newspapers
  • pamphlets
  • contact information for hiring companies and learning opportunities
  • printouts and samples
  • helpful books

You are welcome to use the centre’s services to find employment on your own, or with the help of a Job Search Advisor. You can make an appointment to have a one-on-one meeting for things such as:

  • resume and cover letter building and editing
  • interview prep and mock interviews
  • networking and professional community building tips
  • job search strategies and planning
  • assistance with online job applications
  • researching companies and points of contact
  • tech support such as saving/uploading files, as well as sending a resume through email
  • assistance with online job profiles such as LinkedIn and JobMatchNB
