Camp Description

Power Up Camp is designed to engage youth with a well-rounded offering of summer adventure, challenge and fun.

Through a combination of traditional camp games and group challenges, adventure-based learning and leadership activities, sports such as soccer and basketball along with exposure to newer sports such as pickleball, disc golf, trail running and more- Power Up camp offers an exciting array of activities to make the most out of those precious Summer Days.

With Power Up’s home base at the Capital Winter Club (232 Rookwood Ave.), campers will be ideally situated to spend most of the days outdoors in amazing spaces like Odell Park and Wilmot Park. Between these two locations, Campers can take advantage of excellent amenities and activity choices. For hot days, we will be a five-minute walk to the city’s splashpad to cool down and campers can also enjoy the use of Odell Park’s old growth forest for shade, adventure and the usual Summer Fun.

On rainy days, the Capital Winter club has a large comfortable lounge, exclusive to Power Up campers, to use for artful and creative pursuits, along with a large gymnasium for campers to play their favourite sports and games.

Along the way campers will be exposed to initiatives meant to challenge their communication and team building skills while learning what attributes are required to become positive role models, leaders and engaged community members as they travel the road towards becoming young adults.
