SUMMARY:Cannabis and the Developing Brain
DESCRIPTION:Cannabis and the Developing Brain \nTuesday\, May 9\, 12:00pm – 1:00pm \n  \nThe human brain continues its development until the age of 25. During adolescence\, youth learn about the world and discover who they are as their brains mature. Risky behaviors such as using cannabis can have harmful effects on a developing brain when use (regular and heavy use) begins in adolescence. Join us as we explore how the human brain develops as we grow up\, how compounds in cannabis interact with the human body\, as well as the functions of different sectors of the brain and how these can be affected by cannabis use. This webinar is suitable for youth aged 15 and above as well as adults. Participants are welcome to join from across Canada\, please note that meeting times indicated may be different in your respective time zone.
