The YMCA of Fredericton's Response to COVID-19
YMCA Summer Day camp programs adhere to licensing requirements as outlined by the child Daycare Facilities Standards set by the department of Education and Early Childhood Development. The YMCA of Fredericton is following Provincial Health Guidelines throughout the entire Y facility. Child care is taking all precautions to maintain guidelines as directed by the provincial Public Heath Agency and the Department of Education and Early Childhood. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the availability of camps is subject to revised regulations issued by Provincial Health Authorities.
Families that have children registered in camps will receive weekly newsletters that will detail how we are currently implementing all the guidelines put in place by the Provincial Public Health Agency.

Y Summer Fun

This camp is designed for children who like to do a little bit of everything! Come explore everything our summer Camps have to offer.

Our wide variety of sports camps will allow your child to participate in many fun sports activities this summer. Each week of camp will have a sport specialty!
Jr NBA Basketball
Players will learn core basketball concepts using modified games and drills. Aligning with the Canada Basketball LTAD Model, the Jr. NBA program acts as the first step to success at all levels of basketball.
Kids will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of sports from track and field to soccer and everything in between. This multi-sport camp will encourage them to get outside and get active!
Tennis, Badminton, Pickle Ball oh my! In this camp, children will participate in a variety of racquet sports with an emphasis on an Active Start and FUN-damental movement skills. lesson plans developed from Rogers Community Team Tennis curriculum, Beyond the Nick: LTAD* Model and PHE* Canada's Move Think Learn: Badminton & Squash curriculum!
Children will have an introduction to the FUNdamental skills of volleyball! Lesson plans are developed rom Vollyball for Life; LTAD* model and Volleyball Canada Development Model.
This camp will focus on dribbling, passing, goaltending and more. Whether your children dream of playing for Canada's National Teams or simply want to have fun with their friends, this camp will follow lesson plans created using Canada Soccer Pathway, and PHE* Canada Move Think Learn: Soccer curriculum.
Campers will learn new moves, choreographed routines, and meet new friends. Children will also put together a dazzling showcase that will be sure to impress parents at the end of the week.

Environmental Camp New!
A camp to learn all about the world around us! Gardening, weather, life cycles and more. Campers will experience the grat outdoors in a new way.
Boxes, blocks and so much more. If you have an interest in building, this is the camp for you! This camp will provide a basic foundation of architecture and design.
Calling all little Scientists! Campers will create, observe and examine a variety of experiments and activities.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and every art project is a masterpiece! Campers will be drawing, painting, building, crafting and creating using a variety of supplies and materials.
Young Makers New!
A STEM based camp filled with coding, building, science and creativity. Campers will have the opportunity to explore their ability to become a young maker.
Transportaion Camp New!
Let's get moving! Campers will learn about a variety of forms of transportation, from cars to hot air balloons. This camp is sure to interest the transportation lovers in your family.
Please Note: Children will come in contact with live animals throughout the week. Proper hand washing procedures will be implemented. Humans won't be the only ones attending this camp! We will have a range of animals big and small visiting throughout the week.
