For the Love of Learning
Congratulations to Michelle Ingraham on her achievement
The YMCA of Fredericton has been so fortunate to have Michelle Ingraham working with children in the Early Learning & Care Program for the past 19 years! For nearly 2 decades as an early childhood educator, Michelle wears many hats and demonstrates an extraordinary level of skill, all while staying up-to-date on research in the exciting and ever-changing landscape of early childhood education.
Today, we are congratulating Michelle on her remarkable achievement of graduating from NBCC with her certificate in Early Childhood Education Microcredential Progam. This has been no ordinary feat for Michelle, as she stays busy during the daytime working with the children at the Y. How does Michelle maintain her energy and her enthusiasm? “I love working at the Y! It’s a great place to work and it is friendly and fair. I have made many friendships through the years at the YMCA and I feel liked and secure in knowing that if I needed them they would be there for me.” Michelle has received a lot of support from her colleagues and friends throughout the years and most prominently as she has been working towards her certificate.
It is no secret that Michelle absolutely loves working with children at the Y, and her young students adore her. “I have many memories in my years as an employee at the YMCA and the children loving me as their teacher and continuing to mention me as they go off to school. I know I have made an adequate impact on their lives. I am so proud of myself for being able to get my ECE Certificate after all my years in childcare and all the many children’s lives I have impacted.” All of us at the YMCA of Fredericton are also proud of Michelle’s achievement. It is inspiring to see her advance in her studies and share her knowledge and wisdom with the young generation of Y children. Congratulations, Michelle!
